The following videos are the maiden voyages of a boat I have been working on since last winter. The ultimate goal is to create an autonomous vessel to survey the bottom of various anchorages I visit. It is controlled by a Beagle Bone Blue microcomputer and uses two brushless motors normally used on drones. It has a GPS which is not programmed to direct the boats direction and speed yet. A distance sensor on the front stops the props when within 100 cms of an object(another boat or in this case the side of the pool). stay tuned for more updates!
